Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ClimbFyre collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Pin Trade mobile app, related websites, and connected services.

Product: Pin Trade Effective date: April 11, 2026 Operator: ClimbFyre

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Pin Trade mobile application and related services that link to or reference this page. It should be read together with the Terms of Service. By using Pin Trade, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described here.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Pin Trade, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account and identifier information. Pin Trade currently uses a device-based account flow. We may collect a device identifier, service user ID, authentication state, and related account records needed to sign you in and keep the service running.
  • Collection and app content. This can include boards, collection entries, Have / Trade / ISO status, saved preferences, notification read state, and other content you choose to create in the app.
  • Photos and image uploads. If you use camera or photo-library recognition, we may collect the image you choose to upload for pin identification.
  • Notification data. If you enable push notifications, we may collect your push token together with app version, build number, locale, timezone, bundle ID, device identifier, and associated user ID where available.
  • Purchase and subscription data. We may receive subscription status, entitlement state, product identifiers, restore status, and related purchase metadata from Apple and RevenueCat in order to provide paid features.
  • Technical and operational information. We may collect request metadata and service logs that are reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, debugging, reliability, and legal compliance.
  • Support communications. If you contact us, we may collect your email address and the information you include in your message.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate and improve Pin Trade, including to:

  • authenticate your account and provide app features;
  • store or sync the data that a feature requires to function;
  • process image uploads and attempt pin recognition;
  • show notifications, inbox messages, and subscription entitlements;
  • retrieve market-reference information and related catalog features;
  • respond to support requests and account-deletion requests;
  • protect the service, investigate abuse, and troubleshoot failures; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

Photos, recognition, and market features

If you use the scan feature, the image you capture or select may be uploaded to remote storage and processed by recognition or AI service providers so Pin Trade can attempt to identify a pin. Please do not upload images that contain sensitive personal information unless you are comfortable sharing them for that purpose.

When Pin Trade shows market-reference information, the app may send a search query and related request data through our backend services. Market information may also reflect third-party data sources or external links, including eBay listings and pages that are governed by third-party terms and privacy policies.

How Pin Trade stores data today

Most collection-management data is currently stored locally on your device unless a feature specifically requires remote processing or server-side records. Remote services may still store account identifiers, notification tokens, subscription state, recognition uploads, notification payloads, and operational records to the extent needed to run the product.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers and partners only as reasonably necessary to operate Pin Trade, including providers that support:

  • cloud hosting, backend infrastructure, authentication, and storage;
  • image upload and recognition processing;
  • push notification delivery and subscription management;
  • Apple in-app purchases and refund or subscription support workflows; and
  • security, legal compliance, or business transfers such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.

Data retention

Information stored only on your device generally remains there until you delete it, remove the app, reset local app data, or use an in-app delete-account flow. Information stored on our systems or our service providers' systems may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, subscriptions, support, security, fraud prevention, debugging, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.

Your choices and rights

  • You can decide whether to grant camera, photo-library, and notification permissions.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings. Deleting your Pin Trade account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription.
  • You can delete your Pin Trade account from the app where available. That process is intended to remove your server-side account and clear local Pin Trade data from the device.
  • Subject to applicable law, you may contact us to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of personal information that we hold about you.

International processing

Pin Trade and its service providers may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions where our providers operate. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection rules from those in your home country.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information that we control. No security system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Pin Trade is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Pin Trade changes. The version posted on this page is the current version, and your continued use of the service after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
